For anyone with a shaky grasp on geography not sure about the Tromso to Tokyo tagline, the plan was to travel from Norway to Japan (mostly by bicycle but sometimes by boat or train or bus or pedalo - we are not cycle 'purists'.)
So far we have crossed Europe from North to South with a jolly in Tunisia and then over to Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran before crossing the Stans of Central Asia (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan. Kazakhstan) and on to Mongolia via a corner of Russia. We were very happy to return to China, enjoyed Taiwan and had a great time exploring Japan before having a brief sojourn through South Korea. We will have to stop and work if we want to continue our journey so that is now occupying our thoughts.
